Scout Foundation NI was set up to support the development of children and young people by providing support to Scouting Ireland Groups in the Northern Province. This includes all of the North of Ireland and Donegal.

Scout Foundation NI supports local Scouting Ireland Scout Groups by

  • Supporting the work of the Provincial Youth Forum

  • Supporting the training and development of our volunteers

  • Providing programme resources, including CRED and safeguarding

  • Supporting large Provincial events

  • Providing governance support for our local Groups

The Northern Province is one of 6 Scout Provinces into which scouting Ireland Scout groups are split. Each province is then split into Scout Counties. The Northern Province has 5 Scout Counties - Brian Boru, Dal Riada, Down and Connor, Erne and Errigal. It has over 5,000 members, including 900 volunteers working in their local communities.

Scouting Ireland is the largest youth organisation on the island of Ireland. It has over 50,000 members, including over 11,000 volunteers.
